Catch-all Emails
Should you make a catch-all email account? What exactly is a catch-all mailbox?
A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a
cloud web hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s astonishingly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the given address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a
semi-dedicated package with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you don’t need it anymore. Our system will notify you if you’re attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all email address for a particular domain or in case there’s enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or modify anything automatically and without your permission.
